Accomplishments : Downtown District

The Houston Downtown Management District (Downtown District or HDMD) is a critical component of downtown's vitality. The president of Central Houston, Inc., Bob Eury, also serves as executive director of the Downtown District.
- Downtown District operations began in 1992, providing downtown property owners and their tenants supplemental services, redevelopment assistance and improvements within the 1,173-acre downtown area (ongoing)
- Provide staff to Downtown District under management contract, thus reducing overhead costs for both entities (ongoing)
- Conceived plan for this special assessment district for downtown owners and facilitated steps leading up to the district’s creation (1988-1991)
