The organization provided seed funding and collaborates with housing advocates and service providers in development of single room occupancy (SRO) housing. Administered during the construction phase by Central Houston, Houston Area Community Development Corporation—a 501(c)(3) public charity—provides an additional 57 units of SRO apartments that offer an alternative to homelessness for Houston's lowest income group.
