Central Houston provides staff to Theater District Association and its parent, Houston Downtown Alliance, under a management contract, thus reducing overhead and fostering a higher level of collaboration.

Central Houston assists in this program to foster increased vitality in and around the Theater District, a major performing arts center working jointly with the City of Houston Convention and Entertainment Facilities Department, the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau, the seven performing arts groups, and various individuals and businesses in the District, through the Houston Downtown Alliance, a501(c)(6) non-profit entity.

Central Houston previously assisted with the City-sponsored master plan for the Theater District; led and managed streetscape improvement planning, design and development; introduced marketing campaign to promote Theater District and its performing arts groups; and facilitated formation of Theater District, which initially was co-located with Central Houston, Inc.
